Victorian clay marbles were made by the potters at the end of a day for their children. They were hand rolled, fired in the kiln and then dipped in paint. The paint on this marble has been washed off by the North Sea. Victorian clay marbles were produced between 1890 - 1920 and much loved toys.

Clay marble found on the rough coasts of Seaham/ England . It is important to me that the marble is 'untouched' just the way it was found on the beach.

All pictures taken inside without flash.

This marble can be taken out any time to look at, to place it in a different holder or just to touch it or show it around. You can take this marble out and put one of your own marbles in whenever you like!
